Take Control Mediation permits parties to take control over the outcome of their litigation. Bringing parties together in a confidential, unbiased atmosphere empowers parties to resolve their disputes. Although nearly 90% of all court cases settle, often the parties benefit from the input from an experienced impartial third party. At Inner Harbor Mediation, we provide a committed, creative environment to work with parties to solve problems and reach agreements.
At Inner Harbor Mediation, we understand that the critical aspects of mediation are fairness and the willingness to listen. Our process is flexible to meet our client’s particular needs. The basic procedure includes meeting with all parties, including the litigants themselves at time, as well as meeting in private with each counsel. When all parties have the chance to express their litigation goals to a confidential mediator, the mediator often discerns common ground upon which a resolution can be built. In addition, when the parties meet together with a mediator, they often learn more about their cases then formal discovery. We take the time to speak with and listen to all parties to achieve a fair and agreed disposition.
Confidentiality is critical in mediation. We understand the need to be able to trust that the information a party provides to a mediator must be kept private. One of our crucial obligations is to advise parties that nothing they say will be disclosed to the other side, unless and until you have directed us expressly and clearly to disclose certain items.
Finally, an unbiased third party with extensive experience in settlement negotiations can often come up with new and creative ways to resolve disputes. Based on the large number of examples from prior settlement conferences, we can offer a wide vein of solutions to permit you to take control of your case and resolve it.
Inner Harbor Mediation gives you the opportunity to take control over the outcome of your current dispute or litigation. We empower parties to resolve their issues without handing their fate over to six unknown members of a jury. We offer creative, confidential solutions by giving full attention to the parties’ needs and expectations.
